Fruit and vegetables form the region Did you know that the amount of energy necessary for the transport of 1 kg of New-Zealand-Kiwi-fruit to our supermarkets, 6,800 kg of regional fruit can be transported by truck up to 100 km. That is why you should prefer regional products to support our farmers, the regional economy and to protect our climate and environment actively.
Seasonal shopping list Nowadays it is usual to get strawberries in winter or green salad from the green house all the year. Unfortunately we forget that it takes long ways of transport and energy-intensive cultivation in the green house. Therefore pick seasonal products freshly gathered from local acres or orchards more frequently. Local products - unlike imported goods - are ripe when harvested and contain lots of healthy substances when sold.

You support appropriate livestock husbandry, organic animal feed and an abdiction of pesticides, mineral fertiliser and genetic engineering. Organic agriculture protects and conserves our natural ressources and operates energy saving.
